Communicating the Gospel of Peace

Recent civil upheaval in the Middle East has created challenges for our Arabic media team. But it has also opened up new avenues for ministry as people became more open to spiritual alternatives. Approximately two-thirds of the Arab population is younger than thirty-six years old. Our media production staff also fits this age group. In partnership with other ministries, we develop programs that deal with current issues and attract seekers. Our Arabic ministry teams have been on the forefront of using informational technology—like social media and mobile phone-based communication—for mission outreach. 

As we proclaim the Gospel, lives are being transformed through radio, Internet, text messaging, print materials, and one-on-one discipleship opportunities. Each month as many as 1,200 people from the Middle East contact us by email or text message. A listener from Yemen sent this text: “Already my life is enriched by the beautiful teachings of Issa al-Masih (Jesus Christ). His glorious teaching is needed by all people.”
