Growing in Faith Every Day

Growing in Faith Every Day

Three years ago Jose, a teacher in Paraguay, came to know the Lord. Eager to grow in faith, Jose began to listen to La Hora de la Reforma (The Hour of Reformation), a weekly Spanish radio program produced by Back to God Ministries International.

Jose, who is married and the father of two children, needed something more to help him in his walk with the Lord. Then he learned about Cada Dia, a daily devotional also produced by Back to God Ministries. Cada Dia literally means, “Every Day.”

Looking for resources he could use in his school, Jose recently attended a media training workshop led by Rev. Guillermo Serrano, leader of Back to God Ministries Spanish outreach, and host of the weekly radio program. Jose was excited to meet those who produce the radio program and monthly devotional guide. “You are helping me to better understand the Bible,” he told Rev. Serrano.

“I am always curious and amazed at the power of the Word, working on people’s soul and heart through different formats,” notes Rev. Serrano.  “One blessing of media ministry is the large number of people who have access to the Gospel’s message.”

While in Latin America, Rev. Serrano also had the opportunity to be interviewed for a prime time program on a local religious TV station. Afterwards, the interviewer testified that Back to God Ministries programs have had a deep impact on his life, helping him to understand how faith relates to daily life.

For Rev. Serrano, meeting those whose lives have been changed through our ministry is a great encouragement. Because of the nature of media ministry, we don’t always get to meet members of our audience face to face.

La Hora de la Reforma is broadcast on more than 500 radio stations throughout the Spanish-speaking world, and is available online. Cada Dia is distributed to nearly 5,000 homes each month and can also be found on our website.

“But more important,” says Rev. Serrano, “is knowing that we are reaching people wherever they are, meeting their spiritual needs through media ministry.”
